MATHEMATICS TAUMATA 2/3 - MATUA WIRINGI - Initial pānui 2025
Matua Wiringi will continue working with Year 11 students that he worked with in 2024.
Students from Year 12 & 13 can opt in to complete Mathematics assessments at Level 2.
If students complete the Level 2 assessments they may progress on to complete Level 3 assessments.
SENIOR MOBILE PROGRAMMES:
Our ākonga will co-construct plans with our kaiako to develop the plans for our Senior Mobile Programmes.
WHAEA ANGELA
We will be developing co-constructed plans that are student driven, passion focussed that involve being in and around Kaikohe.
Literacy and Numeracy skills will be integrated into each of our kaupapa.
WHAEA NGAWAI
We will learn across five interconnected areas: Manaaki Marae, Aqua Fishing, Aquabots, Sustainable Fishing & Hangarau Matihiko.
These subjects foster cultural identity, environmental stewardship, technological innovation and practical skills that prepare students for future pathways in marine industries, hospitality and environmental conservation.

TE REO O TE KĀINGA:
We will focus on unique nuances, sounds and language features of the Ngāpuhi dialect. This is a key focus area as we will build a foundation, confidence and in-depth knowledge of our dialect. This ultimately strengthens our identity, creating life-long speakers and champions of the Ngāpuhi dialect.
